Recently I took a short trip to Corona Del Mar and visited Sidedoor. Why? Because there was a wonderful¬†Allagash Brewing Company¬†Tap Takeover! Although this old school English pub was already recommended to me before, I finally had an excuse to visit. Thanks Allagash Brewing.. Here’s your beer review in return.

Beers:
1) Victor: 9% ABV,
– 200lbs of Cabernet franc grapes crushed on site and added directly to the mash; wine yeast influence and a medium body with a tart and spicy finish.

Brew Beer Blog Review – 93/100

2) Interlude: 9.5% ABV
– Pear, apricot, graham cracker, and bread crust; partially aged in French Merlot and Sirah oak barrels, giving a vinous plum character and a drying, tannic finish.

Brew Beer Blog Review – 89/100

3) Grand Cru: 7.2% ABV
– Brewed with a touch of peated malt and spiced with coriander, sweet orange peel and a hint of anise

Brew Beer Blog Review – 96/100

4) Odyssey: 10.4% ABV
– Dark wheat beer aged for ten months, a portion in oak barrels and the remained in stainless steel tanks; hints of dates, with a mild roasted finish

Brew Beer Blog Review – 90/100
