One of the major reasons why I have enjoyed homebrewing as a hobby is due to the ability to share it with others. This is another reason why I made one of the best decisions for my homebrewing hobby by joining a local homebrewing club. Since the beginning, I’ve been involved with two different homebrewing clubs (Brewluminati & OC Mash-ups) with their own unique benefits and core members willing to teach and share their insights (and their amazing beer); to those individuals, I thank you.

From all this hard work, research, and feedback, I’m excited to announce that I will be competing in the 2016 GABF Pro-Am Competition with one of my Double IPA recipes with Barley Forge Brewing Co. in Costa Mesa, CA.

Recently, our homebrewing club (OC Mash Ups) held a competition based on 2016 BJCP guidelines, which best of show was invited to brew their recipe on Barley Forge’s 25 gallon pilot batch system.

It will be tapped for the Friday Night session at GABF, so be sure to swing by the Pro-Am booth and let me know your thoughts.

I’ve posted the Full GABF Pro-Am recipe here: Homebrewing Recipe: Chasing Hill Farmstead, A Double IPA
